            Food: Buckhead is hope to some of the countries most acclaimed restaurants. Locals who dine regularly in Buckhead have a discerning taste when it comes to their meals. Two places to check out are:

            Bones restaurant on Piedmont road is a staple spot for locals who are picky about their steak dinners. Eatzi’s is the perfect place to pick up gourmet take out. You know you’re a Buckhead local when you throw a dinner party and attempt to pass your Eatzi’s take out as your own cooking. You have lived in Buckhead too long when you recognize your hosts “cooking” as Eatzi’s take out and know the dish by name.

            Arts: Buckhead art scene is thriving with galleries on almost every corner. One of the must know, must visit spots in Buckhead is the Trinity Gallery on East Paces Ferry and Miami Circle . The Trinity Gallery is nationally recognized for its exhibits in contemporary sculpture, painting, and photography. Miami Circle has received national recognition as well for its many antique and art galleries. 

            Entertainment: Check out Twist in Phipps Plaza after dinner hours when the restaurant turns into a thriving social scene. Check out ESPN Zone on game days for a great crowd – make sure you get there early to get a table. Also be sure to visit the Chastian concert series during the summer to see some of your favorite performers. If you are going to Chastain it’s a local tradition to stop in Eatzi’s to pick up a “picnic” to take with you.   

            Shopping: After you make your rounds through Phipps Plaza and Lenox Square (if you have any money left) local shoppers always stop in to check out Blue Genes a great locally owned boutique that has the latest fashions. If you don’t want to break the bank check out Sage boutique they have unique clothes at a great price, their inventory is updated weekly so there is always something new to see.
